We also have in-house design and drafting services available to our clients to produce that special one-off plan, whether it be for a unique block of land or a home to suit your own personal lifetyle.
The Process of Homebuilding
1. Initial Consultation.
During your initial consultation at BuildStruct, we assess the type of property you have in mind, and offer you a variety of styling options, tailored to your lifestyle, practical needs and budget. The best place to start is to sit down together and discuss what it is that you want. We look at your budget, and describe what you can achieve with what you want to spend.
2. Preliminary Agreement.
We co-ordinate our team of specialists and contractors as nominated on the standard Victorian Master Builder’s Association’s document, with your exact requirements. This step is the minimum pre-requisite in order to procure a ‘lump-sum’, ‘fixed-price’ tender. You can, at this stage, adjust your proposed budget if necessary.
3. Building Contract
This standard Victorian Master Builder’s Association document gives you all the information relating to the complete and finished project, ready for occupation, at a fixed price. The only way the price can change is by mutual consent, through a standard variation document.
4. Construction
We set the time frame for completion and communicate regularly regarding progress. If you are unable to view your property, we can arrange photos to be sent to you
